The Neighbourhood Services Review is a strategic initiative focused on evaluating and identifying opportunities for the City of Saskatoon’s Neighbourhood Services Section to better align with the City’s long-term vision and community needs.
The City contracted Prairie Wild Consulting in partnership with Braid Consulting to conduct a comprehensive review of the existing service delivery model. This work includes:
- A thorough evaluation of current roles, structures, and functions
- Engagement with City Council, Administration, Community Associations, local organizations, and community members
- A jurisdictional scan of comparable cities to explore best practices in governance, funding, and staffing models
- Development of a detailed final report with actionable recommendations to strengthen responsiveness, improve coordination, and position the Neighbourhood Services Section for the future
The review is designed to support informed decision-making and ensure that Neighbourhood Services remain community-centered, equitable, and strategically aligned with Council priorities.
