Season’s Greetings from Prairie Wild Consulting

As 2025 draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on how this year was shaped by relationships… by honest conversations… and by communities willing to sit with complexity, possibility, and change.

Across Saskatchewan and beyond (as far away as Chile), we had the privilege of supporting work rooted in reconciliation, community wellbeing, sustainable land use, water stewardship, housing, culture, and long-term resilience.

Some of this work is visible. Much of it is quieter… unfolding over time… held with care by clients, partners, and communities themselves.

This year asked us to listen deeply… to slow down when needed… and to work iteratively with community members, boards, staff, and leaders navigating real decisions in real places…. where meaningful change comes from people willing to ask better questions… and to stay with one another when the answers are not simple.

We are grateful for the trust placed in us. Trust to enter difficult conversations. Trust to hold uncertainty with care. Trust to walk alongside communities as ideas take shape, shift, and grow. This trust is never assumed, and it is never taken lightly.

As we move toward a new year, we find ourselves holding questions that reach beyond plans and projects.

…What does it mean to care for place, for one another, and for future generations in a time of uncertainty?

…How do we choose long-term wellbeing when short-term pressures are loud and relentless?

…What are we willing to protect… and what are we willing to change?

…And how do we stay curious and compassionate when the work feels heavy?

We believe these are questions worth reflecting on together. They quietly shape how we show up and hold space for the kinds of futures we help communities imagine.

We know the year ahead will bring new questions… new collaborations… and moments that ask us to choose courage over comfort. That is where we continue to learn and where we do our best work.

To our clients, collaborators, partners, and the many people who invited us into their communities and conversations… thank you.

We wish you a peace-filled, meaningful holiday season… and a new year filled with connection, clarity, and possibility.

Warm regards,
– The Prairie Wild Consulting Team
