We’re carrying forward more than 25 years of planning, facilitation, and storytelling across Saskatchewan and beyond. We’re planners, yes – but also connectors, listeners, bridge-builders, and believers in the power of place.
🧭 Who We Are (and Why “Wild” Matters)
Prairie Wild is where land meets people, and people meet purpose.
We’re a homegrown Saskatchewan consultancy led by a small, mighty, and deeply experienced team who knows that great plans don’t start with blueprints — they start with conversations – around tables, in community halls, under big prairie skies.
We believe that planning is not about control — it’s about cultivation. It’s about helping communities, organizations, and governments grow in alignment with their values, histories, and hopes for the future. And sometimes, that takes a little wild thinking.
Because being “wild” isn’t about chaos. It’s about imagination, resilience, and the willingness to see patterns in the tall grass; to plan with both precision and heart.

From strategic planning to reconciliation and coalition building, cultural and heritage planning, community and regional development, and engagement, we bring people together to imagine and implement better futures.
Our work is grounded in both vision and practicality.
We support the creation of housing strategies, climate adaptation, environmental and conservation plans, infrastructure and servicing strategies, policy and bylaw frameworks, and land and resource management approaches that are resilient, equitable, and sustainable.
We conduct research and feasibility studies, lead comprehensive and sector-based plans, and help our clients transform data and dialogue into tangible, living strategies.
We use approaches like Appreciative Inquiry and the Technology of Participation, blending them with our prairie sensibility: practical, thoughtful, human. We listen hard, ask the right questions, and translate complexity into clarity.

We show up as whole people — planners, educators, farmers, storytellers, artists, and citizens. We know that good planning is a creative act, and good creativity is a form of planning.
We work across disciplines and divides — Indigenous and non-Indigenous, public and private, rural and urban — because we believe in ethical space, where everyone belongs and everyone can contribute to shared outcomes.
We are proud to be Saskatchewan-based, woman-led, and community-powered.
We value humour, coffee, collaboration, and cats (there may or may not be a few purring consultants behind the scenes). We believe in strong partnerships and stronger communities – and we’re not afraid to roll up our sleeves, whether it’s for a zoning bylaw review, a community engagement strategy, or a barn cleanup at the farm.
